Soup Kitchen

The church opens its doors every Monday between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to the homeless and socially disadvantaged people in the community. A warm nourishing meal and a bag to take away for the weekend, together with a supply of blankets when the weather is cold go toward meeting the practical needs. The heart behind the soup kitchen is to offer a place of acceptance and a listening ear, where those with very little hope or few networks of support can begin to rebuild their lives and find some hope. We have had as many as 25 come, and as few as zero, the average being about 10, and 8 volunteers from the community have been active in supporting this work.
