Missions
HCF has links with a family ministry in Hungary called Gabonamag, or Grain of Wheat, who work primarily with children in orphanages and care homes. Eva, Zoltan and their son Kornel also run several camps each year for children to learn English, which are all bible-based and they have seen many come to faith. A quarterly magazine called Hi! Kids helps to disciple the children, together with a telephone ministry.
In Sighisoara, Romania, HCF supports Jill Ascough who felt called there a number of years ago. She and her husband Sorin work with YWAM to support abused women, providing safe places and health care, especially encouraging alternatives to abortion, which has a high rate in Romania. They also work tirelessly to bring the gospel to the town and surrounding villages.
We have recently begun a new relationship with Passion for Jesus Ministries based in Bolton, who do a lot of work in Zambia and Uganda. We will be developing this relationship and exploring our links to Africa, sending out one of the church who has a call to that country in early 2007.
